This clan is probably one of the oldest and most famous organizations around, with their classy and well-polished exterior. The clan is a loose confederation of about one hundred families, each of which claims sovereignty over a certain territory. Many of these families carry royal titles, or have members who hold high political positions in the government, and they are extremely proud of it. Despite the autonomy given to the families, this clan is extremely well-organized and efficient, thanks to the well-polished system from centuries of establishment. However, beneath the glory of their long history, rumours say that they are running low on funding and disputes are arising amongst the families.
Psychology Camp 2008 - War Of The Clans is a social camp for incoming freshmen organised by NUS Psychology Society.
The camp will be fun-filled, action-packed and will also let you have a look into life as an undergraduate in NUS! You will also have the opportunity to learn more about Psychology through our games and activities!

On to other matters. The Godfather will be visiting Mr. X at his mansion for 3 days. In his absence, I will be heading the Council of Elders in handling all the matters pertaining to the Clans. I am sure the Godfather will look foward to having you all with us next week.

I welcome you to the home of the clans. Here lies all the crucial information required for you to assimilate into the clans. All of our clans are now recruiting, and initiates will be randomly sorted to join any of them. Rest assured that all clans will be equal in strength and abilities though each has its expertise.
Soon, there will be a mass induction on 2nd July 2008, where all new initiates will officially be part of their respective clans. Throughout the four days, initiates will be introduced to the chiefs of their clans, as well as meet other key personnel in our establishment.

Establishment
There exist six different clans all over the world, individually an embodiment of a unique culture and identity. These factions are each led by two Chiefs who, being the seniors and more experienced, impart knowledge to the new initiates while bringing them on their quests and pursuits. Currently, all the clans are recruiting new Initiates, to inject vibrancy and live into their clans
Behind it all lies a hidden identity. This mysterious figure, known as the Godfather, is the background intelligence of all the clans, being the one with ultimate control over all clan activities. He is well-respected for upholding the current state of peace and stability amongst the clans. None of the chiefs or initiates has ever seen his true countenance, instead hear of him merely in the form of rumours or via the official channel – The Council of Elders.
The Council of Elders is a group working directly under the Godfather, passing on messages and orders from the Godfather himself. The council can be said to be a separate entity from the six clans, being an independent and neutral party in this establishment.
Within the Council of Elders stands a significant individual – the Godfather’s secretary. She is the one who receives information and instructions from him directly, before taking action together with other members of the council.
Yet, the only one who shares an intimate relationship with the Godfather as a confidante would have to be Mr. X, a medium who talks to the dead. As the Godfather’s trusted friend, he holds the key to this mysterious figure and is possibly the sole individual who knows the Godfather’s true identity.

- Can I still join the camp if I am not going to be majoring in Psychology?

Ans.: Definitely! We welcome campers intending to major in any discipline! Even if you are not intending to major in Psychology, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about this discipline through fun games! The camp is also an excellent opportunity for you to meet new friends, seniors, and have fun together.

Ans.: Of course not! The key objective of the camp is for you to get to know more people and make new friends. There are bound to be campers attending camps alone every year. That is not a problem at all :)
Ans.: If you request to be put together with a friend, we will try as much as possible to group you together.
Ans.: Sure, as long as you inform the key personnel (your facilitators) and sign in/out with the administration I/C when you do leave/return, so as to allow us to keep track of your whereabouts.
Ans.: A packing list will be provided later on for your reference.
Ans.: You will be participating in various games and activities, all specially planned to allow you to learn more about NUS, university life and Psychology while having lots of fun! Other than games, there will also be activities (such as bidding simulation and seniors’ sharing sessions) that will prove to be extremely informative and beneficial to you as freshmen.
Ans.: Accommodation has been arranged for all of you in a residence on campus.
Ans.: Most of the activities will be based in campus, but your facilitators may choose to bring you out during your own group-bonding sessions, such as for supper at night.
This clan is closely related to the Wild West Cowboys and they are ever ready to help others, especially the poor and needy; They uphold themselves as heroes and avengers; their friendly and out-going attitudes endear them to most people. But they also uphold the ideology of Southern honor; any challenge to their honor will not go unanswered. Similar to the bikers, they enjoy freedom, but despise the bikers' irresponsible behavior.
This clan is the wittiest around, always solving problems with creative solutions. They are also wealthy businessmen with businesses infiltrating across lands and have great influence to the market. Besides being awfully rich and resourceful, all the clan members are well-trained in Kung-fu, especially their special "Lian-hua Quan". Other clans sometimes see their wittiness as being sly and cunning, always considering things to their advantage.
Like its motif suggests, this clan is a worldwide bikers' club. Compared to the other clans, they are in a league of their own. They are risk-takers, daredevils, and always up for a challenge. They give it all whenever they embark on an adventure. They sing their love for freedom, bikes and speed. Riding on their beloved bikes, they travel across countries, living a nomad's life. Rules and regulations are just not in their dictionary. Boundaries are something they hate most. And they do things with little thoughts of consequences.
This clan is of lower profile compared to the rest. Yet, they work hard for what they want and are never slow in their response to any challenges. Being swift, quick and dexterous is their strength. They are street smart; know how to get their ways through. They have a blazing passion for music, dance and nature. Within the clan, strong unwavering bonds form among members, living in a warm family-like community, always looking out for others' back. Unity is their strength that lets them overcome any difficulty.
This clan is a family of loyal members, renowned for their obedience to their leaders. Leadership runs along the lineage, and sub-houses pledge their unwavering loyalty to the leaders with much pride. Always standing united, they live according to the code of the Samurai; honour is their life, and each member is willing to sacrifice for the greater good of the clan. And because of their small clan size, they are extremely defensive towards others. Rooted from the land of Thousand Islands, their expertise lies in marine industry and take control over the seas.
